Obituary

Zachariah Jon Jensen, 35, formerly of Ada, MN, was found dead near Bracketville, TX, on May 30 th , 2017. He was born 4-8-82 to Kevin and Janis Jensen. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Ada Borup High School in 2000. He was baptized, and confirmed at St John's Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member.

After graduating, he moved to Detroit Lakes to work on small engines, he also worked as a cook and eventually ended up doing construction work in the area. One of his last projects was making slab furniture. He could make almost anything work, but also had an artistic ability to him. He could put in many, many hours on a project.

He loved to hunt and fish and would spend as much time as possible doing that. We'd see him around the farm more often in the fall when he'd be checking his trail cams for the "big one".

He was a sensitive soul under a hard shell, that many people didn't get to really know. Probably the best time in his life was a vacation where he started out toward the southeast coast, traveled southern US across to the west coast and back up through Colorado on the way home. He posted photos of his travels so his family and friends could keep track of him; I think it was the happiest time of his life! He brought back shells and acorns from various areas he had been and displayed them in a cabinet on his wall.

He recently sold his mobile home and most of his belongings and set out to "start out fresh" someplace else.

He is survived by his parents, 2 sisters, Brianna (Mike) Eggen, Ada, and Alisha Lau, Moorhead, grandmother Lyla Rowe, Arizona, 4 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts & uncles and cousins.
