William "Bill"
Keezer
Jul 24, 1978 — Mar 5, 2023
Naytahwaush
William "Bill" Keezer, age 44, of Naytahwaush, MN, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the Sanford Medical Center in Bagley, MN.
William Joseph Keezer was born July 24, 1978, in Minneapolis, MN, the oldest son of William Keezer and Cynthia Rainey. As a young child, Bill along with his brother, Donny, moved to the White Earth Reservation, where they were lovingly raised by their father and mom, Kelly Murray. Two sisters, Rebecca and Raven, were added to the family as they spent their youth growing up in the Naytahwaush area. Bill attended grade school in Naytahwaush followed by high school in Mahnomen. As a young man, he entered the workforce and worked various jobs including construction, at the casino and at the college. While working at the White Earth Community College he also enrolled in some classes. Most recently, Bill was working hard to better himself and trying to build a sturdy foundation for his relationship with Kendra and his children. Even though he had many struggles over the years, he was always showing his love and affection with hugs and I love you's. He cared deeply for the people closest to him, a trait instilled in him by his mom, Kelly. Although gone from this life too soon, he will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Bill enjoyed being outdoors and all it had to offer with hunting, fishing, ricing and leeching. He had a great sense of humor, an oddly fascinating collection of flashlights and knives and liked to be around friends and family, especially time with his children.
Bill is survived by two sons, Dion Makey and William J. Keezer III; a daughter, Brijah Keezer; his significant other, Kendra Hill; a grandson, Robbie; his birth mother, Cindy; one brother; five sisters in addition to sisters, Rebecca Keezer and Raven Murray; his grandma, Myrna Smith; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Kelly and William; grandparents and a brother, Donny.
