Wesley J. Bakkum, 59, of Ada, MN, formerly of East Grand Forks, MN, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, in his home.
Wesley Joseph Bakkum was born on February 22, 1951, at Bemidji, MN, the son of Raymond and Bonnie (Healy) Bakkum. He grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in EGF. He worked construction for a time and later earned a degree from Bemidji State University in industrial engineering. He had moved to Ada a few years back and worked for area farmers.
Wesley is survived by a daughter, Katy (Matt) McKinney, Marlow, OK, his father, Raymond, of East Grand Forks, MN, one brother, Steve (Louise) Alexandria, MN, three grandchildren; Natalie, Jacob, and Ashlea, and one niece, Allison Bakkum, of New York.
Memorial Service: 5:00PM Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: One hour before the service.
Burial: Bemidji, MN.
