On Thursday, May 3, 1973, in Corpus Christi, TX, Veronica Elizabeth Rivera began her earthly journey. She was the first and eldest child of Elizabeth Deleon and Roberto Sanchez Rivera later to be joined by little sisters, Tabetha and Herminia.  At 3lbs. 8 oz., she could fit in a shoebox.  As she grew, her days as a youth were filled with play, care for younger sisters, and completing many chores around home. She started her life-long love of cooking, keeping house, and becoming a caretaker. Veronica attended local school and completed her high school GED.  She later earned her Associates Degree at White Earth Tribal and Community College.  Her college studies and graduation were something she was very proud of.  With her CNA, Veronica worked in several nursing homes and assisted living centers. She was employed in this service in Mahnomen where she was very much loved by both residents and the other employees at the time of her death.

Veronica was blessed with children Alexandria in 1992, and James in 1994, the first two loves of her life.  She is described as full of light, full of love and as having the most infectious laugh.  Veronica was silly, thoughtful, and full of dreams and desires.  She was a hard worker. Veronica was working in real-estate in the Twin Cities area at the time that she met David Revier. Their first Perkin's date on Christmas Day, 2008, was a destiny fulfilled!  They fell in love and grew to be soulmates.  They married December 25th, 2010, at David's family home, Edgewood Farm.  They made their first home just outside Waubun, MN. To this loving marriage, Peter David Revier, II was born in 2016.  She loved doting about her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She loved being home with Peter, putting his schooling under her charge, and was extremely proud of him. Veronica was a superb homemaker and all her life, she could transform any place into cozy, inviting warmth.  She had talents with decorating, sewing, scrapbooking, and nurturing. Veronica enjoyed sweet tea, Red Lobster endless shrimp, traveling, cooking, dancing, going to church where she taught youth Sunday school with David, making comforters, and helping with interior design for the church projects. On April 23, 2020, the family moved to Edgewood Farm.  Veronica had proclaimed that she knew she would meet the love of her life, his name would be David, and he would be a farmer.  This dream had come true!  Veronica was so happy to fill her home with love, vintage finds, family photos, food, and memories of her life of faith, family, and friends.  She enjoyed Hallmark, Lifetime and Christmas movies, reading, teaching, playing with young Peter, and taking care of her dear one, David. "Mama" Veronica loved all her babies.  She loved eating out, drinking coffee, one-on-one conversations, and moments of rest with her pets or children.  She was proud of her Spanish heritage and big extended family. She loved being around family for reunions or picnics.  Running errands on the farm, bringing David lunch, or spending time with her cow all brightened her spirit.   More than anything, Veronica loved God and his son Jesus Christ.  She lived and walked her faith.  She was a light to everyone who knew her. She would pray for you in times of need, whether you asked her to or not.  She was a fierce defender of her Lord and a fierce defender of her family.  Her love languages were gifting, helping, and loving.

In October of 2021, Veronica fell ill and struggled with severely damaged lungs. This was a devastating yet most precious last time for her and her family. She so bravely fought the hardest fight of her life with David right by her side.  Many hearts were broken as it became clear that Veronica wasn't getting better.  Her chance to return to her beloved home at Edgewood Farm would not happen in this life.  Veronica was faithful to her Lord and met the kingdom of heaven with her eyes wide open, love in her heart and a husband and 3 children yearning for their glory day to be with her again.

Veronica Revier will enter the church one last time beautifully and blessed. She was a courageous, selfless, and a humble servant of Jesus.  For that many are saddened by the loss of her giggle, her gifts, and her goals that drove her purposes in life to love one another and serve God first.

Veronica's legacy includes those who love and admire her so—husband David, of Mahnomen, MN; Daughter Alexandria (Kristopher) of Fargo, ND and grandchildren Noah, Kaius, Dekklan and Vivianna; son James (Megan) of Fargo and grandchildren Rosalie, Gemma, and Florance; son Peter David II; and much loved poochie Oreo; Sisters Tabetha (James) of Houston TX; Herminia (Dexter) of Owatonna, MN; Mother Elizabeth (Bobby) of Owatonna, MN; sisters-in-law Nevette (Aaron) of Winger, MN; Vondria (Greg) of Winger, MN; Renita (Jeremy) of Waubun, MN; Evaliz (Dan) of Cleveland, ND; mother-in-law Delly; father-in-law Peter; 25 nephews and nieces, 3 great-nephews and 1great-niece.
