Tyler Dykhuizen, age 36 of Waubun, MN, died on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Tyler David Dykhuizen was born on May 12, 1987, in Seattle, WA, one of twin sons born to Jody and Geri (Tonder) Dykhuizen.  Beginning at the tender age of 1, Tyler moved with his family to Iowa for several years before moving to Texas.  Following his schooling, Tyler's love for travel took him to many places in the United States including Arizona, California, Idaho, Oregon, Ohio, and North Dakota.  He has spent the past 12 years closer to family in Minnesota.

In addition to his love for travel, he had a great passion for the arts.  He was a talented artist composing drawings, sketches and sculptures.  Tyler had a kind heart and was generous to a fault, always willing to help those around him.  He could strike up a conversation with a stranger and part ways as friends.  Even though he had no children of his own, Tyler loved to be around kids and had special bonds with his nieces and nephews.  He was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.  Although he' s gone from this life too soon, he will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Geri Dykhuizen; two sisters, Alisha Davis and Erica (Jon Paul) Weaver; twin brother, Tony Dyhuizen; half-brother, Zachary Dykhuizen; significant other, Lynette Woolever; grandma, Gale Vandersloot; grandpa, David  (MaryAnn) Tonder; six nieces, two nephews and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jody "Joe" Dykhuizen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:30 pm.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Anderson Family Funeral Home.
