Tristan Olson, age 29, of Mahnomen, MN, died on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at his home.

Tristan Patrick was born August 9, 1995, in Minot, ND, the middle child born to Jon and Catherine (Bjerk) Olson.  His early years were spent in Minot and various towns in northeast North Dakota before the family moved to Shoreline, WA, when he was in middle school.  While in middle school, Tristan enjoyed wrestling, earning himself a Championship title.  He furthered his education at Scriber Lake High School in Edmonds, WA, where he graduated with the Class of 2013.  In 2014, Tristan moved to Fargo, ND, and worked various jobs.  While living in Fargo, Tristan worked for a number of years at Northern Stone in Fargo until his health prevented him from staying.  He moved to Mahnomen in 2021 to be closer to family.

Family meant a great deal to Tristan and he enjoyed family get togethers.  He was a big guy in stature but very sentimental and soft at heart. Tristan also had a great sense of humor, which allowed his silliness and ability to make you laugh shine through.  He loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews.  Growing up, Tristan enjoyed summers spent at the lake and tearing apart and repairing bicycles.  As he grew, his love for tinkering grew to cars and trucks.  Tristan loved fast cars, going to car shows and hanging out with his buddies working on those cars.  Although he is gone too soon from this life, he will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Tristan is survived by his mother, Cathy Olson of Mahnomen; father, Jon Patrick Olson of Seattle, WA; sisters, Mercedes (King Croft) Olson and Nissa Olson both of Fargo, ND; nine nieces and nephews: Myles, Vaida, Alaiya, Ella, Isla, Cassius, Londyn, Juliyan, and Hendryxx; grandparents, Ron and Linda Bjerk of Mahnomen and Tony and Shirley Olson of Osage, MN; aunts and uncles: Connie (Gene) Zick of Rochert, MN, Elizabeth (Kevin) Carter of Parker, CO, Sarah (Allen) Houdek of Jordan, MN, Katie (Anthony) Olson-Williams of St. Paul, MN; Dan (Sheri) Bjerk of Mahnomen and Doug (Jenney) Bjerk also of Mahnomen; in addition to several cousins.  He was preceded in death by his great grandparents.

A Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Anderson Family Funeral Home, Mahnomen, MN.  A Time of Gathering will be held one hour prior to the service.
