Obituary

Tonio Weaver, age 26, of Mahnomen, MN, died Monday, February 13, 2017, at his home.
Tonio James Weaver, son of Ronnie Staples and Billee Dawn Weaver, was born December 28, 1990, in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up in White Earth, MN. Tonio was proudly given his name "Waabishki Mi'iigan meaning White Wolf but most commonly known as "Bonez" by his family and friends. He attended Mahnomen School and later received his GED which made his friends and family proud. Tonio was blessed with four children: Ayasha, Anisha, Roberta, and Tonio, and was expecting twins this coming April. Tonio had a special way of making people smile. Whether he was playing jokes on family and friends or good old teasing, he loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with his family and friends, especially his girlfriend, Roberta, and their children. Tonio will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Tonio is survived by his children: Ayasha McKenzie, Anisha Weaver-McKenzie, Roberta Weaver-McKenzie, and Tonio Weaver-McKenzie; his significant other, Roberta McKenzie all of Mahnomen; his sister, Natasha Weaver of St. Louis Park, MN; two brothers, Terrance Weaver and Tracey Beauchamp, both of Minneapolis; and his uncles Douglas and Antonio; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Billee Dawn Weaver; his father, Ronnie Staples; and brother, Jesse Dion Marroquin.

A Traditional Native American Service was held Monday, February 20, 2107, at 5:00 pm, at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN, and continue until burial at 12:00 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
