Todd Peterson, age 44, of Ulen, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006, in the MeritCare Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, North Dakota, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Todd Harley Peterson was born March 21, 1962, the son of Harley and Gloria (Sather) Peterson in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was raised in the Ulen community. Todd was baptized at the Salem Lutheran Church in Hitterdal, Minnesota and later confirmed in his Lutheran faith at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. He attended grade school in Hitterdal and received his high school education at Ulen graduating with the class of 1980. While in high school, Todd was active in football and basketball. After high school he worked at Dales Grocery Store in Ulen. On June 23, 1984, Todd was united in marriage to Ronda Nodsle at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen. They have made their home near Ulen since. In 1989, Todd began working at the Viking Manor Nursing Home in Ulen in the maintenance department. He worked there for the next 11 years. In August of 2000 he became employed with Ecolab Pest Control as a service specialist where he worked until September of this year when ill health forced him into retirement.

Todd was an avid hunter and fisherman. His many successful deer hunts and a recent Alaskan Fishing trip were examples of his love of the outdoors. Todd followed the Ulen-Hitterdal School sporting events all of his life especially those that his sons were involved in. Todd worked the chains at the local football games for years. He also enjoyed taxidermy as a hobby and had done many mounts of both animals and fish for himself, his family and friends. Todd's greatest love was his family and spending time with them, whether it was his wife, his sons, his mother, brother, sister, his in-laws or nieces or nephews. They were all so important to him.

Todd is survived by his wife Ronda, Ulen, three sons, Cole and Aaron both at home, and Christopher and his friend Rachelle of Bismarck, ND and one grandson, Carson Todd. Also surviving him is his mother, Gloria (Stan) Price, Ulen, MN, sister, Laurie (Dan) Murphy, Felton, MN brother, Randy, Hampton, VA, his grandmother, Myrtle Haug, Ulen, MN.

His father preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 11:00am in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen, MN
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen, MN and also one hour before services Wednesday. Pastor John Martinson will officiate with Carol Lockhart serving as organist. Monica Winter and Dan Murphy will sing. His pallbearers will be Jim Fuchs, Mike Elliott, Dan Murphy, Bob Nodsle, Nathan Danielson and Jim Yost. His honorary pallbearers are Ron Zimmerman and all of his nieces and nephews. Internment will be in the North Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Ulen, MN
