Obituary

Tina VanPelt, age 55, of Mahnomen, MN, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at her residence in Mahnomen.

Tina Marie VanPelt, the daughter of Harvey Kleindale and Beverly (Murray) Foster was born on October 8, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN.  She grew up and attended school in the Minneapolis area.  Tina was blessed with five children: Kristina, Kyla, Walter, Zackary and Gary.  She also helped raise Robert "Bubba" VanPelt and loved him as a son.  While raising her children, Tina made her home in several locations in Minnesota: Minneapolis, Cloquet, Duluth, Crookston, Bejou, Twin Valley, Naytahwaush and Mahnomen.  She also lived in Texas for a few years before returning to the area in 1997.  Tina spent many years with Tom Keezer, which brought the blessing of more family as she added step-children: Joseph Keezer, Nathan Keezer, Louis Keezer, Dustin Keezer, Thomas King and Nicole King.  Family was important to Tina and she cherished her time with each one of them.  Over the years, Tina was employed for several years as a blackjack dealer and at Hotdogs and More and a few Convenience Stores.  Tina was a loving and caring individual with an adventurous spirit and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tina enjoyed camping, climbing trees, and a relaxing day of floating on the water in a tube.  She also liked doing crafts and beadwork and games of all kinds including board games, online games, and playing cards.  However, time spent with friends and family was by far the best.

Tina is survived by her children: Kristina Littlewolf of Fergus Falls, MN, Kyla (Manuel Bush) VanPelt of Naytahwaush, MN, Gary (Kaylee Burnette) VanPelt of Mahnomen, MN, Joseph Keezer, Nathan Keezer, Louis Keezer, Dustin Keezer and Thomas King all of Naytahwaush, MN, Nicole King of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Robert "Bubba" (Lynette) VanPelt of Naytahwaush, MN; grandchildren: Michelle, Jayzee, Alicia, Kaylee, Kira and Leighton; brother, Michael VanPelt of Minneapolis, MN; longtime companion, Tom Keezer of Naytahwaush, MN; special friends: Cary Kaiser, Bonita Roy, and Deb Johnson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Zackary VanPelt; brothers, Norman and Robert VanPelt; great niece, Valencia; and many aunts and uncles.
