Timothy "Tim" Voss, age 66, of Waubun, MN, died on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Timothy Albert Voss was born on October 11, 1959, in Plum City, WI, the only son of Max and Cleo (Kahabka) Voss.  In May of 1960, the family moved from St. Paul, MN, to Waubun.  Tim attended school in Waubun and graduated with the Waubun High School Class of 1978. He started working in the electrical trade, continued his education at Moorhead Tech, and later joined Wild Rice Electric Cooperative in Mahnomen.  In 1990, Tim was united in marriage to Nancy Underdahl, and they were blessed with four children: Tyler, Tanner, Tori, and Tate. Although the couple later parted ways, they remained friends. Tim retired from Wild Rice as a Member Service Representative in 2023 after 39 years of dedicated service.

Tim truly enjoyed the outdoors and everything it had to offer.  He liked hunting, fishing, planting food plots, checking trail cameras, shed hunting, and spending time in the woods.  He was typically a quiet person, but he always had a smile on his face. Tim was gentle, dependable in nature, and readily willing to lend a helping hand. He also shared a special bond with his dog, Mia, who was always by his side.  He will fondly be remembered as the community watchman, often driving around Waubun, Mountain Dew in hand, giving a friendly wave to everyone he passed. Above all, Tim loved his family and especially the time spent with his children and grandchildren.  He also cherished the time he was able to spend with his mother, Cleo, and took pride in being there to help care for her when she needed it. Tim was a member of WAMO and the Waubun Fire Department, retiring with 15 years of service. He will be greatly missed by many.

Tim is survived by his mother, Cleo Voss of Waubun; four children: Tyler (Toi) Voss of Moorhead, MN, Tanner Voss of Waubun, Tori (Riley) Burns of Hawley, MN, and Tate Voss of Detroit Lakes, MN; seven grandchildren: Crew, Blake, Trigg and Tate Burns; and Nixon, Vera and Boone Voss; four aunts: Myrna (Bob) Schuh of Anchorage, AK, Alice Auth of Stockholm, WI, Debra Knudsen of Lakeland, FL, and Olene Ahles of Waubun; uncle, Jim Kulow of Ellsworth, WI.  He was preceded in death by his father, Max; his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Waubun, MN. Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
