Timothy Lecy, age 71, of Erskine, MN, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.

Timothy Bruce Lecy, the son of Alfred and Elizabeth "Bette" (Christenson) Lecy was born on July 31, 1949 in Crookston, MN. In his younger years, he attended Win-E-Mac School and enjoyed playing sports and other activities to keep him busy. Tim later enlisted in the Marines, serving in Vietnam.  Tim was united in marriage to Karen Thorpe and they were blessed with three sons, Benjamin, Nicholas and Jonathan. Tim worked as a lineman at the Wild Rice Electric Company for many years until he became injured and later retired.  Tim loved to fish and made many precious memories with his sons out on the lake.  He also enjoyed woodworking and built beautiful furniture as well as rocking horses for his grandchildren. In his downtime, he was often found playing his guitar or listening to music, especially polka.  He also liked to draw.  Tim's favorite times were always spent with family and his grandchildren gave him the most joy.  Following an auto accident, Tim entered the Pioneer Memorial Care Center where he became quite social and made many wonderful friends.  He was a quiet man, and, although often in pain, Tim had a happy personality and loved life.

Tim is survived by his wife, Karen (Thorpe) Lecy of Erskine; his three sons: Benjamin (Tina) Lecy of Twin Valley, MN, Nicholas Lecy of Ada, MN, and Jonathan (Cindy) Lecy of Fosston, MN; his grandchildren: Preston, Courtney, Trevor, Connor, Emily, Tianna, and Tanner; and two sisters, Karen Schimanski of Fosston, MN, and Avonne Trelstad of Moorhead, MN. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Bette Lecy, and six siblings: Everette, Art, Floyd, Sanford, Juanita, and Maxine;
