Timothy Jordan's Story…

A Life Full of Love

Timothy Jordan Garcia, infant son of Jena Gerving and Timothy Garcia joined his family with his angel wings, flying high up in the sky on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Essentia- St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN, weighing 6 lbs 3.7 oz and measuring 19.5" in length.

Though he never took a breath in this world, he lived a life that was deeply full- full of family, laughter, love, and adventure.

Timothy went to California with us, felt the sun and the ocean through his mom's joy. He flew to Texas, soaring through the clouds as part of our adventure, sharing in the excitement of new places and memories. We took him fishing and golfing—he was there for it all, tucked safely beneath Mom's heart.

At home, Timothy was never alone. The kids would snuggle up to mom during movie nights, their hands resting on her belly, sharing popcorn and giggles with their little brother. Deklan, Ever and Harlow were always hugging and kissing Mom's belly, always so excited to meet him- so proud to be a sibling already.

Timothy was there for family picnics and cozy nights by the fire. He heard the laughter, felt the warmth, and knew the rhythm of our lives. He was part of school programs, dance performances- moments where his siblings shined, and he was quietly, lovingly present in the crowd.

We even had our funny family chaos- like the time we hit a deer on the way home from Sami's, or when Dad would give his tiny butt little taps to help him shift or settle. Every part of our life had Timothy in it.

He never opened his eyes, but he saw our love. He never cried, but we sang and spoke to him every day. He never walked among us, but he journeyed with us everywhere we went.

Timothy Jordan's life was real. His story was written in heartbeats, in kicks, in laughter, in tears, and in an overwhelming, never-ending love.

Timothy is survived by his parents, Jena and Timothy; siblings: Deklan, Ever and Harlow; grandparents, Timothy and Holli Garcia; great grandparents, Willie and Flora Sanchez and Ofelia Garcia; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and great aunts and uncles.  He was greeted in heaven with open arms by his nana, Tina Gerving; great grandpa, Allen Gerving; and great-great aunt, Jeri Fjelstad.

This is the story of how our sweet baby boy got his name—Timothy Jordan Garcia.

Jordan and Timothy have been best friends since 2012, when Jordan took Timothy hunting for the first time. From that moment on, their bond only grew stronger. They shared countless adventures together—mudding through the backroads, hunting in the early morning light, traveling to new places, and spending hours on the golf course. Their friendship is something rare, something lasting—an unbreakable bond built over years of laughter, trust, and shared memories.

The name Timothy comes from his grandpa, a man who was—and still is—a guiding light in the lives of those who know him. Grandpa Timothy is the biggest inspiration in Tim's life. Tim looks up to him in more ways than words can describe. Often, his father would say, "You'll understand when you get older." And boy, did he ever. As Tim grew, those words rang more and more true.

We know without a doubt that Timothy Jordan would have loved his grandpa and Jordan deeply, and he would have cherished the friendship and loyalty that his name represents.
