Obituary

Timothy Cletus Boeddeker, aka "Pops", 73, Elbow Lake, MN, passed away peacefully at Sanford Palliative Care, in Fargo on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 following complications after knee replacement surgery.

Tim was born to Doris and Cletus Boeddeker in San Diego, California on August 15, 1942 where they made their home till moving to Halstad, Minnesota in 1948. Tim joined the US Navy in 1959 where he served as a corpsman. After his service he returned to Minnesota and worked at St. Luke's hospital before joining the family construction business and eventually becoming an over the road truck driver.

On March 7, 1964 Tim married, the love of his life, Mary Lou Morehouse. During their 50 year marriage they made their home in places from Montana to Nevada and several Minnesota towns, raising their 4 children along the way. Making their final home in Elbow Lake, MN. Tim loved staying busy. During his retirement he enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting, cooking, guns, knives, auction sales, watching his grandkids sporting events, being a bleacher referee, teasing anyone who would listen and being "ornery". Most importantly sharing all these things with his grandchildren who he was so proud of and meant the world to him.

Tim is survived by his children, Brian (Connie Moore Schmidt) Boeddeker, Grand Forks, ND., Heath Boeddeker, Warwick, ND., and Samantha (Darin) Olson, Barrett, MN.; sibling Tony (Cindy) Boeddeker, Hunter, ND., grandchildren Megan (Geoff Brustuen) Boeddeker, Jake Boeddeker, William Boeddeker, Cheyenne Boeddeker, Ashlyn (Chris) Lange, Austin (Mikaylah Stark) Olson and Aric Olson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou, his son, William Raymond Boeddeker, his parents, Cletus and Doris Boeddeker, brothers: Billy "Red" and Bob Boeddeker, and daughter-in-law Pam Boeddeker.

Funeral: 2:00PM Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the funeral at the funeral home.

Burial: Marsh River Cemetery, Shelly, MN.
