Theresa Fevig, age 92, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, in Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo.
Theresa Hattie Levern Larson was born September 12, 1921, the daughter of Louis and Ella (Askelson) Larson on the family farm near Borup, MN, where she grew up and attended country school. Theresa helped her parents on the farm and when she got older, was employed as a housekeeper on area farms. As a young adult, Theresa worked for a time at a café in Ulen. On March 4, 1943, Theresa was united in marriage to Arthur Fevig at Ulen. The couple made their home in Ulen, where they were blessed with a daughter, Amaryllis. In the mid-1950's, they moved to Hawley until 1964, when they moved to Moorhead. Art passed away on May 30, 2002. Theresa continued to live in her own home until 2008, when she moved in with her daughter, where she had lived since.
Theresa was a long time member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Ulen and after her marriage she continued her faith by being confirmed in the Lutheran church. She was known for being strong-willed as most of her doctors would agree with. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and was known for her baking, but she truly treasured the time she spent with her granddaughter, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by a daughter, Amaryllis Ellingson of Moorhead; a granddaughter, Lisa (Carl Babolian) Sadeddin; three great grandchildren, Brittany (Eric Urrabazo) Arechigo, Jordan (Veronica Perales) Sadeddin and Jonah Sadeddin; four great-great grandchildren, Paris, Anthony, Austin and Jayda.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers; Earl, Ervin and Norman and four sisters: Junice, Susie, Emma and Oreal.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Officiating was Pastor Mike Rueckert with Carol Lockhart serving as organist and special music provided by Maria, Lydia and Anna Urland. Pallbearers were Vernell Nichols, LaDean Nichols, Jordan Sadeddin, Jonah Sadeddin, Eric Urrabazo and Carl Babolian.
Burial was in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Ulen.
