Watch Terri's Memorial Service

Terri Espe, age 64, of Ogema, MN, died Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home, Mahnomen, MN.

Terri Lee, the daughter of Delbert and Violet (Tilley) Lyon, was born in International Falls, MN, on April 20, 1954. She was lovingly raised by her mother and step-father, Wesley Anderson, with whom she grew very close to.  Terri attended school and graduated from International Falls High School.  As a young woman, Terri met Harold Espe while he was working in the area drilling wells.  The couple was married on October 21, 1972.  Over the years, they made their home together in Mahnomen, Crookston, Bemidji, and Hibbing, MN. They moved to Ogema, MN, in 2004 where they have resided since.  Through adoption, the couple welcomed their son, Kristopher in 1992 and Terri lovingly stepped into the role as a full time mom.  Being a mom had been her dream and was truly the highlight of her life.  Terri also spent time working a variety of jobs, most of which shared her creative spirit.  She was active in her church, styling bulletins, bulletin boards, and setting up many church functions. She was a gifted artist and especially excelled at drawing, charcoal, watercolors, and oil paintings.  All of her beautiful artwork will be forever treasured.  Due to numerous health issues, Terri had to retire from the workforce early and was housebound in her later years.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Harold of Ogema; her son, Kris (Alyssa) of Detroit Lakes, MN; sisters, Trudy (Joe) Scholz and JoAnn Darrah; three brothers: Wesley (Tammy) Anderson Jr., Mark Anderson and John (Michele) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and two infant brothers.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN. A Time of Gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
