Susan K. Qualley, 57, Fertile, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, with family by her side.

Susan Kay Steenerson was born on July 8, 1965 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Allan and Deloris (Roese) Steenerson. Sue lived in Thief River Falls, where she attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1984.

On October 21, 1983, Sue was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Jody Qualley in Fargo, ND. Eventually, making their home in Fertile, MN.

Sue worked at several businesses over the years, including her parent's family business at Northern Pride, where she worked in the office; Arctic Cat as a Senior Lead in the call center and 2nd in charge for PGA Coordinators; and Fair Meadow Nursing Home in the housekeeping department.

Her family was her whole world.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. She also loved gardening and creating flower beds.

Survivors include her loving husband of thirty-nine years, Jody of Fertile, MN; daughter, Stephanie (Brent) Berhow of Fertile, MN; son, Adam (Ashley) Qualley of Erskine, MN; father, Allan Steenerson of Thief River Falls, MN; brother, Randy Steenerson of Bemidji, MN; grandchildren, Haidyn, Hannah, Natashia, Emmett, and Harper; mother-in-law, Gloria Benedick; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Barry) Rewertz, Dianna (Steve) Piper, and Nancy (Todd) Gustafson; brother-in-law, Mike (Rhonda) Qualley; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Matthew; mother, Deloris; and sister, Cindy; father-in-law, Alfred Qualley; brother-in-law, Jeffery Qualley; and great niece, Annika Qualley.

A Celebration of Life Service for family and close friends will take place at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Erikson-Vik-Ganje Funeral Home, Fertile, MN.

Visitation will take place one hour before the service at the funeral home.
