Obituary

Sue Carol Bellefeuille, age 74, of Mahnomen, MN, died Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home surrounded by loved ones.

Sue Carol McArthur was born on May 21, 1948, in White Earth, MN, to Bernard and Delphine (Ross) McArthur. Sue attended school in Mahnomen and in 1966, was blessed with the birth of her son, Ernie. Sue began working various jobs which allowed her to travel and explore the United States. In 1977, Sue moved back to the Mahnomen area. In 1981, Sue married the love of her life, Ron Bellefeuille, and the couple made their home in Mahnomen. During this time, Sue worked at the liquor store and helped with private home health care. She later began working as a manager of the Golden Eagle Bingo in White Earth. In the late 1990's, Sue took on the position of the Community Health Representative for the White Earth Tribe, a job that brought her joy for 20 years until her retirement in 2019.

Sue had many talents, especially when it came to creativity and crafts. She created many cherished crocheted blankets, clothing, and items for her family. Sue was a fantastic cook and baker, she spent the whole year looking forward to Christmas Eve at her house with her entire family. Sue had a special place in her heart for her grandkids and nieces and nephews. She was lovingly known as "Suzie Homemaker" to her family. In her free time, she enjoyed reading crime and romance novels and participating in a book club. Sue and Ron enjoyed going antiquing and traveling to auctions together. The couple also enjoyed traveling around the United States together. Sue was a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan and had season tickets for 20 years. Her great sense of humor and caregiving nature will be greatly missed by her loved ones.

Sue is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ron Bellefeuille; son, Ernie Mrachek; stepdaughter, Michelle (Rob) Stevens; grandchildren: Amanda Stevens, Ellen (Jake) Perrault, Dylan Stevens and James Mrachek; great-grandchildren: Brody, Suzie, and Theodore; siblings: Jack McArthur, Lucille Goodwin, Steven McArthur, Nancy Bratvold, Scott McArthur, Laverne Hisgun, Tim (Barb) McArthur, and Tammy McArthur; many nieces and nephews; and beloved cat, Bob.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Joan "Bunkie" LaFriniere, Mary Ann Keogh, and Evelyn Tangen; and brother, Clyde McArthur.

A Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
