Watch Steve's Funeral Mass

Steve Boman, age 69, of Twin Valley, MN, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his home.

Steve Boman was born on October 18, 1951, to Roy and Sylvia (Buschette) Boman in Detroit Lakes, MN. Steve attended elementary school in Twin Valley and Highschool at the Northwest Agriculture School in Crookston, MN. Steve was a member of the last graduating class before the school was changed into a State College. He later attended college there studying agriculture. Steve was united in marriage to Sandy Broers on January 20, 1973 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Waubun, MN. They made their home near Flom, MN, where he began farming with his father. During this time, the family operated Syre Fertilizer for several years. They farmed until the late 1980's when Steve began trucking with Valley Express. He was with them for several years. He later drove truck for Chad Erickson and worked for area farmers for many years. Steve drove truck for West Central Ag of Ulen, MN, until his declining health caused him to retire.

As a child, Steve was active in 4-H where he served as a delegate. In his later years, he served on the Norman County Fair Board, Twin Valley Conservation Club and was part of the Norman County Sheriff's Posse.

Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandy, Twin Valley, MN; three sons: Scott, Seth and Sawyer (Adrianna) all of Twin Valley, MN; four sisters: Kathy Michaels, Fertile, MN, Diane "Cookie" Mattsen, Anoka, MN, Beth (Brad) Strum, Twin Valley, MN and Ruth "Charlie" (Paul) DuChene, Moorhead, MN; two brothers, David and Eric "Beezer" (Joyce) all of Twin Valley, MN; 7 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter Stacey.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. William Catholic Church, Twin Valley, MN. A Walk-Through Visitation will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held at St. William Catholic Cemetery in Twin Valley following the service.

Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, social distancing will be practiced, and all must wear a mask to participate. For those not wishing to attend Mass in person, the service will be livestreamed via Anderson Family Funeral Home Facebook, as well as recorded and viewable on the funeral home website shortly after the service.
