Stephen A. Smith, 56, Shelly, MN, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Benedictine Care Community in Ada, MN after a long battle with cancer.

Stephen Anthony Smith was born on August 4, 1964 to Robert and Beverley (Sereda) Smith in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Stephen called the Shelly area home where he enjoyed spending time with his dogs. He had various hobbies he enjoyed as well. He loved to fish. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed being out on the water and was a seeker of crappies. Stephen also did work as a tinner, working with various things made of tin to repair or create, he was a member of the local 10 Union, and also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Stephen had many strong friendships over the years, and came to love those friends as family. He will be deeply missed by his chosen family, and by all who knew him.

Graveside Service : A graveside service will take place at Shelly Cemetery, Shelly, MN on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 10:30 AM, following all of the Minnesota and CDC COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. All are encouraged to wear a mask.
