Stephen "Bill Jeep" Bellanger Jr., 73, Naytahwaush, MN died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in his home.

Bill was born on December 7, 1934 in Little Elbow Lake Township, Mahnomen County, to Stephan and Nellie (Sullivan) Bellanger. He attended school in Naytahwaush and following his education entered into the United States Air Force.

After serving his country, Bill returned to Naytahwaush to make his home. He worked in road construction throughout Minnesota for most of his career as a truck driver and later worked for Ojibwa Lumber in Waubun before retiring.

In his spare time, Bill enjoyed snowmobiling and visiting with friends. He was also a member of the Mahnomen American Legion.

Bill is survived by his two sisters: Lucille Turner and Glendora Scott, both of Naytahwaush, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; two brothers, Edward and Ervin and three sisters: Alice, Joyce and Theresa.
