Staci Klemetson, age 38, of Ulen, MN, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Staci L. Herzog was born April 5th, 1974, the daughter of Robert and Jocie (Bakke) Herzog in Moorhead, MN. Staci grew up in Ulen where she attended school and graduated with the class of 1992. Staci was an active participant in school sports including softball, volleyball, basketball, and track as well as displaying her talents in music. After graduation, Staci furthered her education attending NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. After college, Staci worked in Human Resources at Eventide in Moorhead.

On September 30, 1995, Staci was united in marriage to Matthew Klemetson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen. After their marriage, the couple made their home near Glyndon, until moving back to the Ulen community in 1997. Staci was employed at Tharaldson Enterprises in Fargo until 1998. It was in June of 1998, with the birth of their first child; Staci began her "dream job" of being a stay at home mom, raising their five beautiful children. Staci felt this was her true calling, whether it was providing loving care to her children, reading them stories, playing with them in the yard, or teaching them the importance of having Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Staci fought an inspirational battle with cancer since being diagnosed in May of 2011.

Staci and her family became members of Maranatha Free Lutheran Church in Glyndon in 2005, and in 2006 helped start Maranatha Free Lutheran in Ulen, where they are presently members. In 2007 Staci made the decision to make Jesus Christ her personal Lord and Savior, which has helped build her steadfast faith, which she has used as her guiding light throughout her illness. Staci thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her children's sporting events, walking, and keeping her home immaculate, but most of all, Staci treasured being a mother, and the time she spent caring for her family.

Staci is survived by her husband, Matthew and children, Alayna, Noah, Adison, Isabel, and Caleb all at home; parents Robert and Jocie Herzog of Ulen; sisters, Wendy (Doyle) Fevig of Moorhead, MN and Bobbi Jo (Shannon) Omberg of Nevis, MN; brother, Nicholas (Cara) Herzog of Ulen; grandmother, Irma Hendrickson of Ulen; mother-in-law, Irene Klemetson of Ulen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deb (Ron) Knudtson of Breckenridge, MN and Sheryl (Duane) Vetsch of Albertville, MN, Mike (Jennifer) Klemetson of Flom, MN, Ron (Susan) Klemetson of Ulen, MN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Perry and Gladys Bakke, and Carl and Lila Herzog; and her father-in-law, Marlin Klemetson.

Funeral Services were held Monday September 24th at 11:00 AM in Maranatha Free Lutheran Church, Glyndon. Visitation was held Sunday, September 23rd from 3-5 pm with a prayer service at 5 pm at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church in Glyndon. Visitation was also one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday.
