Ulen
Sonny Lee Syverson, age 43, of Ulen, MN, died Sunday, April 14, 2024, from injuries sustained in an accident.
SonnyLee was born on June 13, 1980, to Arvin and Julie (Burnside) Syverson. He grew up on the family farm in Hagen Township. He attended Ulen-Hitterdal school. In his younger years, he worked various jobs from concrete work to farming. In 2007, his son and pride and joy, Travis, was born. The two of them were inseparable. They loved going on drives in the country, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and going fishing. Their special friend, Tate, would often go with them. In 2017, SonnyLee became engaged to the love of his life, Amanda Kuehn. They enjoyed walks in the park, watching movies, and taking their dog Patches on walks. SonnyLee also enjoyed old country music, collecting Dukes of Hazzard, and sitting by a fire. He also liked trying to fix an engine on anything that wouldn't run. Even if he couldn't fix it, he would spruce it up with a fresh coat of spray paint. In 2018, he moved into Ulen with his mom and has cared for his mother since then. SonnyLee was a kindhearted person and always up for a visit.
SonnyLee is survived by his fiancé, Amanda Kuehn; mom, Julie Syverson; son, Travis; brothers: John (Shannon) Chounard, Roy (Julie) Chounard, and Roger (Krista) Chounard; sisters Kim (Mark) Stroh, Tammy (Chris) Erickson, Sherrie Dunn, and Pamela Syverson; and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Arvin; grandparents: Silven and Mabel Syverson and John and Opal Burnside; stepson, Dusty Duchene; and his nephew Gunnar Syverson. He will be missed by all that knew him.
