Shirley J. Woltjer, 83, Borup, MN, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley Joann (Gunderson) Woltjer was born on September 19, 1942, in Fertile, Minnesota, to Marvin and Helen (Fjeld) Gunderson.

On November 15, 1961, she married the love of her life, Dennis Woltjer at Grace Lutheran Church in Ada, MN, and together they shared a beautiful life and 61-year marriage until Dennis's passing in 2022.

Shirley devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker. She and Dennis raised two children, Curtis and Colleen, and cherished their granddaughter, Brianna. Time spent with family was her greatest joy, and she will always be remembered for her warmth, devotion, and love.

Shirley is survived by her children, Curtis (Renae) Woltjer, Dent, MN, and Colleen (Mike) Anda, Borup, MN; her one and only granddaughter, Brianna Woltjer; siblings, Marvin Gunderson, Elbow Lake, MN, and Renae (Ken) Green, Moorhead, MN; nieces, Josie and Nikki; nephew, Bradley; three special cousins, Gloria Holland, Wanda Swenson and Jen Moen; chosen daughters, Jessica Green, Lisa Fletcher of Arkansas, and SuChinn Caldwell; chosen grandchildren, Helmer & Elias; and twisted sisters, Ronda Zaragoza and Peggy Gilbertson.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis; parents, Marvin and Helen; brothers, Roger Gunderson and Douglas Gunderson; sisters-in-law, Judy Gunderson and Delores Woltjer; brother-in-law, Veron Woltjer; nieces, Kayla Gunderson and Pauline Poole; nephews, Arland Woltjer and Rodney Woltjer;  and aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, June 26, 2026 at Winchester Lutheran Church, Borup, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.

Interment: Winchester Lutheran Cemetery, Borup, MN.
