Shirley V. Johnson, 85, rural Ada, Minnesota, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, after a very brief time at Halstad Living Center, Halstad, MN.

Shirley was born May 3, 1928, the daughter of Carl and Ruth (Golladay) Narum in Lexington, IL. She attended school in Halstad and graduated from Halstad High School. She was united in marriage to Frank "Tootie" Johnson on September 22, 1946, at East Marsh River Lutheran Church, of rural Halstad. The made their home on the family farm and raised their four children. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ada. Shirley was devoted to her family and always looked forward to holidays and family times. She and Tootie spent the past 32 winters near Marathon, Florida and the summers at Strawberry Lake near Detroit Lakes, MN.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Tootie, her children, Joe, of Ada, Bruce (Catherine), of Juneau, AK, Susan (David) Lovas, Cassoday, KS, and Ray "Bub" (Cindy) of Ada, 6 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents.

Funeral: 10:00AM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada.

Visitation: 5-7PM Tuesday with a 6:30PM prayer service at Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada.

Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada.
