ShiAnn B. Coleman, age 26, of Mahnomen, MN, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in Mahnomen.

ShiAnn Brittney was born February 4, 1990, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Jeffrey Coleman and Rebecca Cyr.   She attended school in Mahnomen and worked for a time at Thielen Thrifty Drug. Spending all her time on the White Earth Reservation, ShiAnn has made her home in the communities of Naytahwaush and Mahnomen.

ShiAnn was an artistic and creative young lady. She loved drawing, writing and beading. She made many beautiful creations and often added her own touch to items she was given or purchased. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always knew how to turn someone's day around. She was witty and sarcastic and known to be a bit opinionated at times. To know ShiAnn was to love her. She was very kind hearted and loved children especially her nieces and nephews. Family was always foremost and she shared a very special bond with her aunt, Tisha. Going leeching and ricing with her dad from a young age were activities she always enjoyed. Gone too soon but never forgotten.

She leaves behind her father, Jeffrey Coleman; mother, Rebecca (Brian Lovejoy) Hart; brother, Julian Beaulieu; sisters: Kayla Coleman, Ruth (Colin Crosby) Basswood, Destiny (Bryce King-Hanks Sr.) Coleman, Tiana Beaulieu, Jessica Coleman and Charlize Coleman; grandparents: Ronald and Thelma Coleman and Urban Jirik; aunts and uncles: Tisha (Brian) Royer, David (Beth) Burnette and Shirlene Wakemup and cousins. She was preceded in death by a best friend, Mid Keezer, and grandparents, Doreen Jirik and Edmund Cyr.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 18, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex in Naytahwaush, MN. Visitation began at 11:00 am and continued until the service. Interment took place at the Free Gospel Alliance Cemetery in Naytahwaush.
