Sheila J. Lien, 72, of Ada, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 9, 2026, at her residence.

Sheila was born on July 17, 1953, in Moorhead, Minnesota, to Denver W. and Betty A. (Halvorson) Lien. She grew up in Hitterdal, Minnesota, and later made her home in Ada, where she lived for most of her adult life.

Sheila faced life with a gentle spirit and a kind heart. She lived each day with joy and simplicity, touching the lives of those around her. Her family was very special to her, especially her sisters, nieces, and nephews, who brought her great happiness.

Sheila enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including knitting, puzzles, and other art projects. She especially enjoyed her time living in Duluth during her younger years, working at a thrift store and a flower shop, and spending quiet moments watching the ships come into the harbor.

Sheila will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her sweetness, quiet strength, and warmth. She is survived by her sisters, Marilyn (Steve) Prestegord of Ada, MN; Deb (Herb) Kuball of Gary, MN; and Cheryl Lien of Fargo, ND; her uncle, Clark (Violet) Lien; her nieces and nephews, John (Kimberly) Prestegord, Karen Prestegord, Jessica (Steve) Wibe, and Jerad Hanson; three great-nieces; one great-nephew; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Denver and Betty.

A private family graveside service will take place at a later date at Salem East Cemetery in Hitterdal, MN.
