Scott A. Lee, of Mahnomen, MN, formerly of Minneapolis, MN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at his home.
Scott was born October 8, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Duane and Barbara (Fisher) Lee. He grew up and attended school in Anoka, Minnesota. Following his schooling, Scott began his career as a landscaper, working alongside his dad. While working as a landscaper, he met Wendy Huggins. They were united in marriage and to this union came two children, Katie and Jake; the couple later divorced. Scott continued to make his home in the Minneapolis area, where he met a very special lady, Glenda Cuevas. They lived in Minneapolis for several years before moving to Oklahoma to be closer to her family. After Glenda's death, Scott moved to Mahnomen where he has lived since.
Scott was a private person who enjoyed both the silence and the noises of nature. He enjoyed traveling and has spent the past several summers managing a campground in Taylor Falls, Minnesota. In addition to the great outdoors, Scott loved grilling and cookouts and was known as the "steak master". He had five grandchildren, all of which had a special place in his heart. His kind and caring personality lent itself to do anything for anyone who was in need of a helping hand. Scott had a lifelong dream to own a Harley Davidson motorcycle, which he accomplished. Although he has left us much too soon, his spirit rides on and he will remain with us forever.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Katie Lee of Montrose, Minnesota; his son, Jake Lee of Minneapolis, Minnesota; five grandchildren: Austin Lee, Emiley Jordan, Cameron Neske, Brett Lee, and Joseph Jordan; his parents, Duane and Barb Lee of Mahnomen, Minnesota; his brother, Greg Lee of Hillsboro, North Dakota; one niece, Crystal Lee of Moorhead, Minnesota; two nephews, Timothy and Kevin Lee both of Moorhead, Minnesota; and special friend and companion, Wendy Mehr of Ada, Minnesota.
