Ruth O. Larson, 95, Fertile, MN, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Fair Meadow Nursing Home, Fertile.

Ruth Opal Ofstedal Larson was born on December 16, 1921, to Peder S. Ofstedal and Gina Amalia Hogenson Ofstedal near Rindal, Minnesota.She was preceded in death by husband of 74 years, Harold S. Larson, Sr., her daughter Regina A. Larson, her son Harold S. Larson, Jr., son-in-law Terry Haltiner, and all of her siblings: Clarence (Myra Jackson), Marvin (Agnes Turnbom), Palmer (Myrtle Viker), Lloyd (Elizabeth Dorset), Milton (Clara Danielson), Galena (James Snyder), Ernest, Thelma (Arley) Jonish, Arnold (surviving: Olga Berg) and Howard (surviving: Jewell Lively); several nieces and nephews.

Ruth is survived daughters: Virginia "Ginny" Radke (Deane), Linda Black (David) and Jeanette Larson; daughter-in-law Sherry Mosher Larson; grandchildren: Andrew (Kim) Black, Lisa (Chad) Lorz, Mark Radke, Craig Radke (Deanna), Jennifer Larson, and Mitchell Larson, six great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Olga Berg and Jewel Lively; and many nephews and nieces.

Harold and Ruth enjoyed traveling, predominantly car or RV trips. They frequently wintered in Texas and San Diego. In 1974, Harold, Ruth and Jeanette enjoyed a three-week train ride for visits with Ruth's sister in Walla Walla, Washington, Harold's sister in the San Francisco area and Ginny in San Diego.

Harold and Ruth were members of Little Norway Lutheran Church, International Organization of Good Templars and The Farmers' Union.   They were volunteer caretakers at the Lake Sarah Farmers' Union Park and Campground. Ruth and Harold were members of the Sand Hill Twirlers, a local square dancing club.

Ruth was a farmer but also was employed at the Gamble's Hardware store in Fertile and Fair Meadow Nursing Home in the activities department. She was active in the Fertile Garden Club, including competitions with the Crookston and Beltrami Garden Clubs at the Polk County Fair in Fertile.

Funeral: 11:00AM Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Little Norway Lutheran Church, rural Fertile, MN.

Visitation: 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a 6:30PM prayer service on Monday July17, 2017, at Erikson-Vik-Ganje Funeral Home, Fertile, MN.

Burial: Little Norway Lutheran Cemetery, rural Fertile, MN.
