Rosemary Buschette, age 89, of Twin Valley, MN, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Twin Valley Living Center.
Rosemary Jane Johnson was born January 5, 1928, the daughter of John and Minnie (Thorsen) Johnson. She grew up in the Mahnomen area and attended school there. On September 10, 1947, Rose was united in marriage to Lawrence Buschette. They made a home in Waubun, MN, where they farmed. Rose helped on the farm as well as raising their seven children. They also opened there home to many foster children and relatives, whom she welcomed with open arms. After retiring from the farm, they moved to Twin Valley. She then worked in Ada, MN, at a daycare center for several years. On September 11, 1992, after 45 years of marriage, her husband passed away. Nine years ago Rosemary moved into the Twin Valley Living Center where she had made her home since.
Rosemary enjoyed gardening, both in her flowerbeds and vegetable gardens. Each year she canned her produce to feed her large family. She liked to visit and often shared stories with friends and relatives. Rose loved taking pictures, especially of her children and grandchildren. She loved being a grandma and babysat her little ones as often as she could. Rose was a devote Catholic and was a member of St. William Catholic Church. Her faith and her family were always close to her heart.
Rose is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Jeanie) Buschette and Earl Buschette, both of Twin Valley; five daughters: Lois Buschette of Crookston, MN, Sandy Soyring, Beverly Buschette, Karen Anderson, Margie (Kelvin) Krueger all of Twin Valley, MN; MN; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Paulette and a brother, Roger. She was preceded in death by her husband; two infant children; two sisters, Gertrude and Charlotte; one grandson, Nathan Boe; and a great-granddaughter, Tiffany Krueger.
