Rose Stall, 98, of Mahnomen, MN, died Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home.

Rose M. Omer was born on July 21, 1922, in Cooperstown, ND, the daughter of John and Mary (Kuchynka) Omer.  When she was only a year old, her family moved to Ebro, MN.  She attended country school and entered the workforce cleaning cabins at Pinehurst Resort as a young lady.  Rose was united in marriage to Harold Stall in Bagley, MN, on February 12, 1945.  The couple made their home near Beaulieu, MN, for several years before moving to Mahnomen.  In the early 1970's, Rose began working in housekeeping at the Mahnomen Hospital and retired in 1984.  In 1994, Harold died and Rose continued to live in their home until moving to Valley View Commons, where she lived for many years.  She later transitioned to the Mahnomen Area Assisted Living followed more recently by the Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home.  The last few years while living at the nursing home, Rose had wonderful care by all the staff, but she had one that gave her exceptional care and attention.  Her great-granddaughter, Emily, was always there to check in on her and share a visit.  Rose loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished any and every moment she was able to be with them.

Rose enjoyed a good visit with family or friends.  She liked to play Bingo and try her luck at the casino.  In her younger years, Rose liked to garden and plant flowers and dance to Polkas.  She was a long-time member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its ladies aid.

Rose is survived by a daughter, Carol (Mike) Bjerk of Mahnomen; three sons: Richard (Ann) Stall of Mahnomen, James (Bonnie) Stall of Hitterdal, MN, and John (Kristi) Stall also of Mahnomen; one sister, Marion Davis of Milwaukee, WI; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11:00 am in the St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mahnomen. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a prayer service starting at 6:30 at the church. Burial will be at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
