Rose Marie Boyum, 81, of Bejou, MN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Fort Myers, FL.  She was born October 3, 1941, in Rock, MI, to Joseph and Miriam (Sivula) Severson.  Rose graduated high school in 1959, at which time she moved from Lathrop, MI, to Grafton, ND, where she worked as a secretary at the AFC office.  Soon after her move, Rose met Kenneth Boyum, fell in love, and was married on October 31, 1963.  They started their life together on a farm near Bejou; she performed many tasks on the farm and particularly enjoyed driving the big trucks.  Rose's hard work was balanced with eating healthy and staying active.

Spending time outdoors and having her hands in the soil was a simple pleasure for Rose.  Some outdoor activities she was notably passionate about include bow hunting, fishing, gardening, and lawn work.  She also enjoyed dancing, sewing, and painting.  Rose was a lifelong traveler, who cherished exploring the country, taking in different sceneries; she especially loved spending time on the many beaches along the coast.

Rose's greatest love and priority in life was her family.  She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children: Henry (Pam) Boyum of Owatonna, MN, Stephanie Boyum of Moorhead, MN, Jason Boyum of McIntosh, MN, Duane (Tracy) Boyum of Claremont, MN, William Boyum also of McIntosh, and Debra (Robert) Lofgren of Fort Myers, FL; sisters: Mae Whelan of Crystal, ND, and Betty Tryan of Escanaba, MI; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Miriam; and brother, Lone Severson.
