Rosalie "Rose" Rasmusson, age 70, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, formerly Twin Valley, died January 28, 2010, in her home.
Rosalie June Johnson was born November 20, 1939, the daughter of August "Bud" and Erma (Habedank) Johnson in Twin Valley where she grew up. She attended country school for the first seven years, and then on to Twin Valley High School. On November 29, 1956, Rosalie was united in marriage to Larry Rasmusson in Twin Valley. The couple made their home in Moorhead, Minnesota, until moving to St. Louis Park, Minnesota, in 1966. Rose was employed by Target and later retired as a fabricator at Rosemount Inc. of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Rosalie loved being with and doing things for her family. She also enjoyed growing flowers, playing cards and games, and watching movies. Her family and friends will miss her smile, laugh and great sense of humor.
Rosalie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry of St. Louis Park, MN; a son, Jeff (Denise) Rasmusson of Lockhart, MN; a daughter, Sherrie (Randy) Chanceller of Grand Blanc, MI; a sister, Renee (Richard) Vaudrin of Crookston, MN; eight grandchildren, Ira Rasmusson of Moorhead, MN, Peni Rasmusson of Flom, MN, Haley and Moriah Rasmusson of Lockhart, MN, Patrick Kappes of Moorhead, MN, Matthew Rasmusson of the Twin Cities, Jeremy and Zachary Chancellor of Grand Blanc, MI and three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Boman, Amberlee and Abigail Kappes
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Larry Wade and Michael Duane, a sister, Ramona, a brother, Rolland and a nephew, Scott.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 2:00 PM in Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley.
Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, Minnesota.
