Ronald Olson, age 76, of Twin Valley, MN, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at his residence.

Ronald James Olson was born April 14, 1940, in Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Kenneth and Helen (Killingstad) Olson. He lived with his family on a farm near Halstad, MN, until they moved to a farm east of Twin Valley, in the mid 1950's. Ron attended school in Twin Valley and graduated from high School there. He farmed with his father and later took over the farm. In the mid 1980's he retired from farming but continued to make his home there along with his brother.

Ron was well known for his love of old gas engines, both in collecting them and restoring them. He would travel throughout the United States to attend old gas engine events and/or auctions.

He is survived by one sister, Barbara Roper, Twin Valley, MN, and one brother, Donald Olson, Ada, MN, and two nephews, Jeff and Joel Cook. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
