Ronald Brown, age 66, of White Earth, MN, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital.

Ronald Lee Brown was born December 15, 1941 to Augustus Jerimiah and Mabel Flora (Leaf) Brown at the White Earth Hospital. He comes from a large family who has a Christian legacy of four generations. Ron was raised with his family in the White Earth area and attended school. As a young man, he moved to Minneapolis and began working various jobs. He spent many years painting homes in the twin cities area. Ron also lived for a short time in El Paso, Texas, before returning to Minnesota. In the mid-1980's, he moved back to White Earth to be near his family. Most recently, due to failing health, Ron moved to Bagley where he made his home at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center.

Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior two and half years ago. Ron's brother, Pastor Tim Brown, had the wonderful opportunity to lead his brother in the sinner's prayer. Ron was a very caring and strong man for all of his life. He always showed deep concern for the happiness of his family and loved ones. One of his greatest joys was cooking, especially for his family. He was a talented crafter and often made native crafts to share. Ron also enjoyed visiting and telling stories with family and friends.

Ron is survived by two sisters: Beverly (Jim Sr.) Libby of Ogema, MN, and Nancy (Larry) Larson of White Earth; six brothers: Thomas Brown of Mahnomen, MN, Kenneth (Aurelia) Brown of White Earth, Pastor Tim (Tammy) Brown of Waubun, MN, Franklin Brown of Ogema, MN, Ralph Brown of Minneapolis, MN, and Ray Foster of Minneapolis; and one uncle, Daniel Martin of Noel, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maeferd Foster; and three brothers: August, Roger, and Herman "Buster."

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Assemblies of God Church in White Earth. Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held at White Earth Assemblies of God Cemetery in White Earth.
