Robert "Bob" Kenneth Rolland Sr., age 88, Fertile, MN, died Monday, October 7, 2019, at Riverview Hospital in Crookston, MN.

Robert was born on November 26, 1930 to Martin and Johanna (Monson) Rolland at home in rural Erskine, MN. He was a member of Maple Lake Lutheran Church, where he was baptized and confirmed. He attended country school before graduating from Fertile High School in 1948. For a few years he worked for area farmers. Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1952-1956 during the Korean Conflict. After an honorable discharge, he started working in Milwaukee  for Capital Airlines based in Chicago.

Robert married Sylvia Cuttler on December 18, 1958, in Wisconsin. He worked at an automobile dealership in Fond du Lac as a mechanic. They moved to Fertile in the mid 1960's; Robert worked at the Hagen Chevrolet Dealership and later at Peterson Implement. Sylvia died in 2003. On April 9, 2006, Robert married Caroline Peterson.

Robert is survived by his wife, Caroline, Fertile, 2 daughters: Deb Rolland, Fertile, MN; Brenda (Matt) Hulst, St. Cloud, MN; one son: Rob Jr. (Barb) Rolland, Crookston, MN; 2 stepsons:

Calvin and Jeffrey (Jelene) Michaels, 12 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brother: Rodney, Phoenix, AZ; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Sylvia, daughter: Wanda Jean Leiser, grandson: Cody Hulst, brother: Raymond, and his sister: Jean Rolland.

Funeral: 1:00PM, Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Rodnes Lutheran Church, rural Erskine, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.

Burial: Rodnes Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Erskine, MN.
