Richard Person, age 45, of Ada, MN, formerly White Earth, MN, died at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Richard M. Person, the son of Vivian Jackson Person and Richard Thell, was born on December 2, 1975 in St. Paul, MN.  He attended elementary school in St. Paul before moving with his family to White Earth.  After graduating high school, Richard studied mechanics at MN State Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN.  He met and fell in love with Krystal Bevins, sharing most of his life with her.  At the age of 19, Richard suffered a life altering injury, in which he lost the ability to walk.  He lived in Fargo for a time and returned to White Earth to make his home.  Richard loved to hunt and spent hours riding around with friends.  He was very close to all his nieces and nephews, especially Austin and Dario.  He loved his family and enjoyed hanging out with them as much as possible.  Due to declining health, Richard recently moved to Benedictine Care Center in Ada.  Their precious infant daughter, Destiny, welcomed him home into the next world on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

He is survived by his partner, Krystal of White Earth; his brother, Floyd (LeAnn) Person of Mahnomen;  sisters: Karen (Wade Borah) of Ogema, Kathy Person and Julie Thell, both of St Paul; Amelia (Michael) Bray, and Aurelia (Kenneth) Brown; biological nieces and nephews: Autumn, Lindsay, Paul, Richard, Vanessa, Jeremy, Cassandra, Christina, Cody, Austin, and Red; as well as many other nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Destiny; his parents, Vivian and Richard; three brothers: Paul Sr., Craig, and Curtis; his niece, Kelsey Borah; and his nephew, Craig Jr.

Visitation will begin Monday, July 26, 2021, at 5:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., at the White Earth Community Center, White Earth, MN, and continue until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Interment will be held in St. Columba Episcopal Cemetery, White Earth, MN.
