Reuben Klevgaard, 55, Felton, MN, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at his residence.

Reuben Iver was born on August 1, 1954, in Fargo, ND, the son of Rudolph Iver and Eleaner Dorothy (Larson) Klevgaard. Reuben was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church, rural Borup, MN. He grew up on a farm near Felton, where he attended grade school, and later graduated, in 1973, from Glyndon-Felton High School. He worked for Dave Schmidt Construction as a laborer.
On February 26, 1983, Reuben was united in marriage to Diane Jones at Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN. He farmed near Felton until 1983, when he started "Reuben Klevgaard Construction." He retired in June 2009.
Playing softball and baseball, as well as following DGF sports (especially wrestling and baseball), kept Reuben active. His love for local softball and baseball moved him to purchase a score board and lights at the Felton Ball diamond. Watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings was also enjoyable to him.
All his life Reuben enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fishing on the War Path River, near Dauphin River, Canada. Playing card games like Skip Bo and Pinnacle were fun family and friend times. Many of Reuben's family and friends were recipients' of his sense of humor and practical jokes.
Reuben's greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He was known for his truthfulness and desire for others to speak plainly to him. He had a deep and intimate relationship with his Lord Jesus, drawing insight and wisdom from the scriptures for daily living. As an adult, in the spring of 2009, Reuben desired and was baptized in the "Believer's Baptism" to publicly affirm his Christian Faith at First Assembly of God Church, Fargo.

Reuben is survived by their children: Katie Klevgaard, Felton, MN, Tracy (Andrew) Heisinger, and her children, Blake and Hayden, Swansboro, NC, Nicole, and her daughter, Adrienne, Klevgaard, Jason Klevgaard, Shannon and her daughter, Sophia, Klevgaard, and Alex Klevgaard, all from Felton, MN, his former wife, Diane Jones, Dilworth, MN, his mother, Eleaner, Felton, MN; sisters, Elaine Sipe, Moorhead, MN, Carol (Will) Ibach, Fargo, ND, brothers, Arlin (Sharon) Klevgaard, Ulen, MN, Paul (Debbie) Klevgaard and John (Suzi) Klevgaard, both of Felton, MN, Mark (Geralyn) Klevgaard, Hawley, MN, Luke (Marita) Klevgaard, Two Harbors, MN; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Rudolph and brother, Ole.

Funeral services will be on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 1 PM in Maranatha Free Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 4-6 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.

Burial will be in the Jevnaker Lutheran Cemetery, rural Borup, MN
