Obituary

Renay Krebsbach, age 70, of Mahnomen, MN died Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN.

Renay Delores Nicholas, daughter of Lawrence and Lola (Fergeson) Nicholas, was born on June 7, 1943, in Denver Colorado. She grew up in the Denver area and graduated from Englewood High School. She continued her education and received her degree in Cosmetology. Renay and her sister, Linda, owned and operated The Tierra Beauty Salon. On October 14, 1969, Renay married Michael Krebsbach and the couple made their home together in Denver. In the early 1980's they moved to Minnesota, living for a time in Detroit Lakes and later Mahnomen. Renay worked with Mike in their construction business while also holding several part time positions in the area. Due to failing health, she entered the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in February 2013.

Renay loved to socialize and loved to spend time with friends. She was always ready for a night out or some great conversation. Renay and Mike had a camper at Pinehurst Resort for many years and she spent many hours fishing North Twin. Renay also liked to cook and made many wonderful meals for family.

Renay is survived by her husband, Mike of Mahnomen; three daughters: Robin (Dick) Jones of Steamboat, CO, Jessica (Paul) Woods of Wahpeton, ND, and Chrie' Krebsbach of Bemidji, MN; three stepchildren: Jeff (Kim) Tiley, Michael (Angela) Tiley, and Michelle "Shelly" (Pete) Chavez, all of Ft. Collins, CO; one brother, Larry (Patty) Nicholas of La Junta, CO; and two sisters, Linda Nicholas and Marilyn (Larry) Abromeit, both of Denver; as well as eleven grandchildren: Brody Jones, Anthony LaVoy, Cassandra Woods, Austin Reitan, Charlotte Woods, Dylan Reitan, Jack Woods, and Billie Jeen Lange, and several step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Donna, and her granddaughter, Shelbe.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, December 26th from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
