Gina Eggen, 93, Ada, MN, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Bridges Care Community, Ada, MN.

Regina Gertrude Weber was born on April 14, 1919, in Rockville Township, MN, the daughter of George and Annie (Court) Weber. She attended rural school near Ada. On April 12, 1943, she was united in marriage to Melvin Eggen, in Ada. They lived and farmed near Ada until 1975, when they moved into town. Gina was a member of Petri Lutheran Church until joining Grace Lutheran Church. She was active in Ladies Circle and quilting. She was a homemaker most of her years, but also worked for Dr. Loken, Cossentine Poultry, and the Ada Hospital over the years. She enjoyed times having her family over and sharing baked goods, and was especially known for her "chocolate chip" cookies. Gina and Melvin were married for 69 years and she just recently spent a month at Bridges Care Community.

Gina is survived by her husband, Melvin, a son, Mike (Gloria) Eggen, a daughter, Janet (Kenneth) Sargent, both of Ada, son-in-law, Kevin (Ruby) Thoen, Pierre, SD, one brother, Harry (Sylvia) Weber, Richmond, MN, one sister, Helen Krueger, St. Cloud, MN, sister-in-law, Dorothy Weber, ten grandchildren, Kenneth (Melissa) Sargent Jr., Chad (LuAnn Hinton) Sargent, Nicole (Jerry) Wohl, Darsey (Patricia) Thoen, Jason (Kami) Thoen, Lori (Todd) Hubka, Bryan Eggen, Mike (Brianna) Eggen, Jason (Jennifer) Eggen, Aaron (Aimee) Eggen, 22 great grandchildren, Bethany, Jessie, Mari, Justin, Alex, Jacob, Gregg, Madison, Cecilia, Logan, Joseph, Kayla, Jacob, Joshua, Kellie, Heidi, Brandon, Brent, Destiny, Payton, Summer, and Audrina, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Karen Thoen, her brothers, Al, Roman, Leo, and John, a sister, Clara, and a great grandson, Duke Eggen.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Friday, March 1, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.

Visitation: Thursday from 5:00-7:00pm at the Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Burial: Petri Cemetery, rural Ada, MN.
