Raymond R. Turner's Obituary
Raymond R. Turner, 92, Ada, Minnesota, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Benedictine Care Community, in Ada.
Ray was born on June 25, 1923, at home near Ada, the son of Harry and Elise (Thiel) Turner. He attended the Livewire country school near their home and along with his siblings, was confirmed at First (Grace) Lutheran Church in Ada.
Ray was the fourth of five children and for many years, he farmed in a partnership with his brother Earl southwest of Ada. Ray enjoyed all aspects of the farm and also raised chickens, hogs, and cattle. He enjoyed attending auction sales in the region and visiting with neighbors. Ray retired from farming and later moved into a house in Ada. He entered Benedictine Care Community in 2008.
Ray is survived by two great nieces and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harvey and Earl, and two sisters, Alice Schenkey and Erna Langseth.
Funeral: 2:00PM, Monday, December 21, 2015 at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, in Ada.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.
Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN
