Raymond H. Reller, age 78, of Mahnomen, MN, formerly of Ogema, MN, died Friday, November 27, 2020 at Mahnomen Health Care Center in Mahnomen.
Raymond Herman Reller was born October 11, 1942 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Leonard and Agnes (Bitz) Reller. Raymond lived on the family farm south east of Ogema, MN, and attended St. Benedict's Mission School and Mahnomen D.A.C.
In 2006, Ray moved from the Ogema farm to Mahnomen Blue Sky, where he made his home until the time of his death. Ray loved to garden and canned the vegetables that they grew. He also enjoyed making homemade sausage. Some of his favorite things to do were, visiting old neighbors, he always had a smile and a wave for them, and was eager to help if they had farm work to do. Ray always enjoyed a good cup of coffee and his trips to the Red Apple. He would often take van rides to the Amish store to buy good homemade items and visit with them and just driving around looking at the farm country and the big machinery. Raymond was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in White Earth, MN.
Ray is survived by his three brothers: Richard (Mary) Reller of Shelton, WA, Clarence Reller and Albin Reller, both of Mahnomen, MN; two sisters, Barbara (Charles) Hennen of Rockville, MN, and Margaret (James) Jirava of Ogema, MN; aunt, Mary (John) Reller of Worthington, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Agnes.
The family would like to thank Father Dan, Father Dave, all of the staff at Blue Sky and the Mahnomen County D.A.C in Mahnomen, and the doctors and nurses at the Mahnomen Health Care Center for their excellent care they gave.
A Private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in White Earth, MN, with inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A video recording of Raymond's funeral will be available at www.andersonfamilyfh.com by Friday Nov 4, 2020.
