Randy Allen Dahlen was born to Edsall and Helen (Sjolseth) Dahlen on July 16, 1960.  As a child, his family lived at the Northern Iron Range where Randy attended elementary school.  After the death of his father at age 13, Randy moved with his family to Ada, MN.  He attended school in Ada while working at the café and store that his mother managed.  Following his graduation from Twin Valley High School, Randy lived in Thief River Falls, MN.  He later returned to the Ada area living near Lockhart and then eventually moved to the Fargo, ND area.  For most of his working years, Randy worked a vending machine route.  He made his route taking care of candy machines and lunch carts, a position which allowed him to visit often with his customers.  An accident in 2017 changed his life and left Randy unable to walk.  Although he never complained, his health failed more rapidly than anyone realized.  He passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND, at the age of 57.

Making people laugh was Randy's forte.  His sense of humor was top notch and assisted him in getting through life's struggles.  Randy found great pleasure through music. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing, especially to the oldies that everyone knew.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Darrell.

A graveside memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 20 ^th at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Twin Valley.
