Ralph Bellmore, age 94, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in his residence.
Ralph Bellmore was born December 29, 1914, the son of Harvey and Hazel (Farlin) Bellmore in Frazee, Minnesota. Ralph grew up on a farm near Frazee where he also attended school. As a young man he worked various jobs before entering in the United States Army. Ralph served his country in the European Theater during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge, Ralph returned to the Frazee area. On February 7, 1946, Ralph was united in marriage to Mabel Reyelts in Frazee. The couple made their home for a short time near Orr in northern Minnesota. They moved to Gary, Minnesota where the purchased a farm which they operated from 1948 until their retirement in 1970. They continued to spend their summers on the farm and winters in Arizona. In 1999, Ralph and Mabel moved into the Normandy apartments in Twin Valley. Mabel died March 30, 2002. Ralph continued to make his home in Twin Valley and also spending every winter in his Arizona home.
Ralph was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. His favorite past times included fishing, woodworking, traveling and wintering in Arizona.
Ralph is survived by a daughter Janice (Richard) Worstell of Gordonville, TX; sisters, Grace Hans of Fargo, ND and Dorothy Voigt of Bozeman, MT; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 1:30 PM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Twin Valley. Visitation will be Friday, October 16 from 6PM to 8 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley and one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Behling with Myrna Thornton serving as organist and Harold and Jean Allrich serving as vocalists. Pallbearers will be Ward Lenius, Daniel Lenius, Jerry Hans, Charlie Bellmore, Harvey Hans and Randy Worstell.
Burial will be in the Lake Side Cemetery, Frazee, Minnesota.
