Porsha Keezer, age 19, of rural Waubun, MN, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at her home.
Porsha Lorraine Keezer was born September 25, 2006, in Detroit Lakes, MN, the youngest daughter of Shana and Jeffrey Keezer. Her elementary years started in Mahnomen, followed by Waubun-Ogema Elementary and she entered high school in Waubun. During high school, Porsha excelled at both volleyball and basketball until a devastating car accident in 2021 almost took her life. Throughout her trials and tribulations, Porsha fought hard to recover. With the loving help and support of her family, she remained steadfast in her recovery. Porsha was able to get back to school her junior year and proudly graduated from Waubun High School with the Class of 2025.
In her pre-teen years, Porsha enjoyed being outdoors. She loved going on 4-wheeler rides, swimming and attending the activities at the yearly Hope Camp in Elbow Lake Village. Porsha was pretty savvy on her phone with one of her favorite apps being Snap Chat. She was always snapping her friends and family keeping her streaks going. She also enjoyed playing a variety of games on her phone. When she wasn't on her phone, Porsha could be found just hanging out and chillin with her family. She was exceptionally close with her dad, Jeffrey. She will be missed by so many people who loved her dearly.
Porsha is survived by her mom, Shana Keezer; sisters, Brenna Keezer and Brooke (Vinny) Keezer; brothers, Devan (Zeegwunikay Warren) Keezer and James Goodman; grandmas, Susan Keezer and Pauline Keezer; aunt, Terrie Sue Keezer; uncles: Rodney (Cassie) Keezer, Tyson (Misty) Keezer Sr. and Kenneth "Beep" (Lois) Keezer Jr.; many great aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her dad, Jeffrey Keezer; grandpas, Kenneth Keezer Sr. and LeRoy Fairbanks, Jr.; brother, Derek Keezer; uncles: Timothy Keezer, Robert Keezer, and Matthew Fairbanks and special friend, Kylia Jackson.
Funeral Services will be held at Elbow Lake Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. All-night Wake Services will be held at her home beginning Wednesday, April 29, 2026, starting at 5:00 pm with a ceremony at 7:00 pm continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
