Paulette Gail Olson, 61, rural Fertile, MN, died suddenly in an automobile accident near her home in rural Fertile, MN, on Monday, January 24, 2011.
Paulette was born on March 18, 1949, to Paul and Verna (Olson) Brault in Crookston, MN. She attended school in Crookston; in 1984, Paulette received her GED. On November 12, 1965, Paulette was united in marriage to Roger Olson at Crookston, MN. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm Southwest of Fertile, in Spring Creek Township. Paulette and Roger were blessed with three children—Mike, Rebecca "Becky" and Sherry. Over the years, she worked as a farmer's wife, Red Owl grocery, several cafés, Phoenix Industries, and, until the time of her death, New Flyer Corporation, Crookston, in the paint department.
All Paulette's life she enjoyed being active and social. Whether she was playing softball on a team or with family and friends or watching football on television, Paulette loved sports. Around the house, "Pass The Ace" card games, horseshoe and volleyball games, as well as puzzle, board and other miscellaneous games kept Paulette and her family together. She loved Bingo and bowling with family and friends. Paulette's artistic abilities were revealed when she made and decorated birthday cakes for the family. She teased and joked, was generous, at times to a fault, and always gave a hand to anyone in need. More than anything else, Paulette was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.
Paulette is survived by her children: Mike (Missy Buckle), Ada, MN; Becky Olson (Mike Finn), Fertile, MN; and Sherry (Terry) Schenkey; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Dallas Boelter, Carnation, WA; one sister, Audrey (Dale) Stoe, Crookston, MN; several nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Timothy Hedrich, two brothers, Raymond Brault and Russell Brault.

Memorial services will be on Saturday, January 29, 2010, 11 AM in Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.
Visitation will be one hour before the services at the church.
Burial will be in the spring.
