Paula Robinson, age 51, of Lengby, MN, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, in Minneapolis, MN.

Paula Jean was born March 25, 1963, in Detroit Lakes, MN, the daughter of Paul and Janet (Gordon) Roy. Her family lived in several different communities including Crookston, Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Brainerd and even California before settling back in Detroit Lakes. Paula graduated from Detroit Lakes High School and went on to further her education as a LPN. While living in Minneapolis, she was united in marriage to Steve Robinson and to this union two children were born. Paula worked in the Chemical Dependency Unit as a Detox Nurse in Minneapolis for a number of years. The couple later divorced with Paula and the kids returning to the Naytahwaush area in 1992.   She soon met her soul mate, Donnie Hariluk, and the two have been together ever since. They made their home together in Lengby, and most recently she had worked as a Home Health Aide for Lutheran Social Services.

Paula enjoyed being in the outdoors and on the water. She had a love of all animals especially dogs and bears, so much her given Indian name was "Dancing Bear Woman". Paula also enjoyed cooking, canning, watching American Idol and spending time with family. She truly cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandson and was looking forward to the birth of another grandchild in September.

Paula is survived by her significant other, Donnie Hariluk, Lengby; daughter, Kasey (Dominic LaFriniere Jr.) Robinson, Mahnomen; sons, Kyle Robinson, Peterson AFB, CO and Chris (Christie)Robinson, Coon Rapids, MN; grandson, Dominic LaFriniere III, brother, Joshua Paul Roy, Mahnomen; half-brother, Paul Hickman, Oregon; step-brother, Dylan Saice, Mahnomen; step-sister, Sophia Larson, Moorhead, MN; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mom, Janet Roy, and grandparents, Pete and Millie Roy and Harold and Christine Gordon.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Naytahwaush, MN. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Interment will be held in the St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery, Naytahwaush, MN.
