Paul Revier, age 33, of Hawley, MN, died unexpectedly Friday, February 18, 2022, at his home.

Paul Joseph Revier was born October 25, 1988, the youngest child born to Thomas and Sharon (Elfering) Revier in Fargo, ND.  Paul spent the first three and a half years of his life at Meritcare Children's Hospital. During his stay, the many doctors, nurses, RTs, and other staff became a second family to him. Many continued to keep in touch throughout his lifetime. In June of 1992, the family was finally able to bring him home. Paul grew up on the family farm near Waubun where he attended school and graduated with the class of 2007. Paul's classmates were always so kind; sending him cards when he was hospitalized, including him in their activities and voting him homecoming king his senior year. In late 2010, Tom and Sharon retired and they, along with Paul, settled in Hawley, MN, where they made their forever home.

Paul was an avid sports fan. He was a die-hard Vikings fan. He also enjoyed cheering on the Yankees and the Packers, mostly to spite his siblings. He enjoyed watching game shows, doing word searches, crosswords and playing board games with his nieces and nephews. His competitive nature was one of a kind and he was always up for a good video game, especially against his brothers. Paul never let physical limitations stop him. If he could help, he would, and he never complained. He always had time for anyone who needed him. Paul loved his family more than anything. He had a kind heart and a loving nature, not once leaving anyone out. Paul never missed texting his siblings with a Happy Birthday, good morning, good night or on a special day including all holidays. Time spent with his family was his most cherished treasure. He will be greatly missed by many.

Paul is survived by his mom, Sharon of Hawley; siblings: Diane (Joe) McArthur of Ogema, MN, Thomas Jr. of Willard, WI, Paulette (Shawn) Hagen of Hawley, Patricia Theilen of Hendersonville, TN, Janet (Brandon) Thompson of Hawley, Annette (Brad) Jernberg of Moorhead, MN, John (Jami) of Fertile, MN, Anne Revier of Hawley, Patrick (Madeline) of Moorhead; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas; grandparents; four siblings: Paul Thomas, Margaret, Matthew, and Elizabeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Hawley. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service and Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m., all at the church. Burial will be held in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Waubun, MN, in the Spring.
