Mahnomen
Paul Domier, age 59, of Mahnomen, MN, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, after facing health challenges over the years.
Paul Allen Domier was born on January 22, 1965, in Fosston, MN, to Lloyd and Renee (Roen) Domier. Paul attended Mahnomen High School and graduated with the class of 1983. He took on a position in maintenance with the City of Mahnomen, where he dedicated 35 years, retiring as the Public Works Director. On September 9, 1989, Paul married Angela Bueng, and the couple made their home in Mahnomen where they raised three wonderful children: Brittney, Tasha, and Makenna. Paul joined the Mahnomen Fire Department in 1990 and faithfully served his community until he retired after 20 years in 2009 as assistant chief.
When he wasn't busy serving his community, Paul enjoyed the great outdoors. Over the years, the Domier family made many wonderful memories, especially their yearly camping trip where Paul made some legendary meals. In his free time, he could also be found hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and tending to his lawn, all with his loyal sidekick and Canine Companion, Toby, by his side. Paul was a devoted father and grandfather, especially finding great joy in the company of his grandson, Carsyn.
Paul is survived by his wife of 34 years, Angela; daughters: Brittney (Tim Fairbanks) Domier, Tasha Domier, and Makenna Domier; grandson, Carsyn; sisters, Lana Domier and Barb Strommen; mother-in-law, Barbara Bueng; brother-in-law, Brian (Sherry) Bueng; his nieces and nephews: Sarah Strommen, Trevor Domier, and Emily Domier; and his father's partner, Eileen Domier. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Lloyd Domier, Renee Domier; father-in-law, Curtis Bueng; and his canine companion and best friend, Toby.
