Patrick C. Offerdahl, 77, passed away on May 1, 2025, at Bethany Senior Living in Fargo, ND.

He was born on September 28, 1947, in Jamestown, ND, to Leland and Clarissa (Flicek) Offerdahl. Pat was one of eight children.He graduated from Mahnomen High School at the age of 17 and soon after enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, Pat returned to Mahnomen, where he worked for several years before attending college at MSU Crookston. It was there he met his future wife, Maureen Jackson. Together, Pat and Maureen moved to International Falls, where they owned and operated the local Dairy Queen. From this union came two children, Georgina  and Griffin. After selling the Dairy Queen in 1998, Pat returned to Mahnomen, where he remained until his passing.

Pat was known for his love of hunting and his close-knit group of hunting buddies, who fondly knew him by the nickname "Black Fox." He also cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Georgina (Jason) Grinde and Griffin Offerdahl; grandchildren: Braden and Ava Grinde, and Brianna and Colton Offerdahl; siblings: Nancy Marquart, Mike Offerdahl, Barry (Kathy) Offerdahl, and Hali (Roger) Dahlby; as well as many nieces, nephews,
extended family members, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Timothy, Andrew, and Pamela; sister-in-law, Susan Offerdahl; and nephew, Robert Jay Dew.

A short service will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Mahnomen, followed by a Celebration of Life at Pinehurst Resort and Lodge in Naytahwaush, MN.
