Patricia (Patty) Pederson, age 81, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Thief River Care Center, in Thief River Falls, MN.

Patty was born on a farm near Twin Valley, MN on August 20, 1942, to John & Dorris (DeLong) Pederson.  Patty was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley.  She attended Owatonna State School in Minnesota for nine years where she received schooling and job training.  While residing at a Foster Home, Patty graduated from a Chef's Cooking Course at the Detroit Lakes Institute. Most of her adult years were spent at foster care homes and working at sheltered workshops.

While living in the Thief River Falls area, Patty worked at the Occupation and Development Center and the Diverse Abilities Center where she participated in a variety of tasks and jobs.    Patty was also a participant in Special Olympics and enjoyed concerts, movies, and certainly Pizza Parties.

Patty was known for her pleasant and engaging personality, listening to country music, visiting with many people, and a deep fondness for her family, especially her nieces, and nephews.    Patty had a remarkable ability to remember dates with a focus on wedding anniversaries, birthdays, and many special occasions, all for her very special people.

Patty was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Marie (Leonard) Rahn; Bernice (Orville) Treichel; and Betty Halverson.    Patty is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Florence & Vernon Kindseth, in Bismarck ND plus many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home in Twin Valley, MN, with burial in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
